FIND QUEEN ELIZABETH II COINS FOR SALE

There were many coins minted in Hong Kong featuring Queen Elizabeth II since her coronation in 1952. Including some very nice rare and collectible coins, and several different denominations, the Hong Kong coins from the year 1952 until 1997, when Hong Kong was given back to the Chinese, include arguably the most-collected of all HK coins.

Regular coins minted for general circulation under QEII include several denominations issued at various times: 5 cents, 10 cents, 20 cents, 50 cents, 1 dollar, 2 dollars, 5 dollars, and 10 dollars. (There were no 1-cent coins under Elizabeth II, the last having been issued in 1941 during the reign of her father, King George VI.)

Of particular interest are the Queen Elizabeth II-profiled gold coins of the 1970s and 1980s with a face value of $1000. There are fourteen of these coins — 12 for each animal in the Chinese zodiac, and two that commemorate visits by the Queen to Hong Kong in 1975 and again in 1986. The Hong Kong gold proof coins for sale section is one of the smaller in the HK coin market, but there are frequently new items and some great pieces for comparatively affordable prices if you look hard enough and have a little patience.
