Spanish Andorra rare stamps
for philatelists and other buyers

Andorra‘s first Spanish stamps were overprinted stamps from Spain, in several colors and denominations and with the overprint bearing the legend ‘CORREOS ANDORRA’. The overprints are in red or black.

In 1929, stamps specifically printed for Andorra’s Spanish Administration were first issued. From that point forward, Andorran Spanish Admin. stamps were denominated in pesetas and centimos — 1 peseta = 100 centimos.

The Spanish Administration stamps of Andorra use the Spanish name of the country, Andorra, and variously include ‘Europa’ or the principality’s Catalan name, Principat d’Andorra.

As of 2002, Andorra stamps use the euro as their unit of currency. Spanish Administration stamps of Andorra share legality and validity with French Administration of Andorra stamps.
