Hey there, it’s Stanley, the dude from Canada who likes collecting coins and has built himself a time machine. Let me tell you about my recent trip to Fiji in 1986. And why I was pretty bummed out.
So, yesterday I was taking a stroll in the park when I spotted some kids playing with an old baseball bat. It made me feel kinda nostalgic, thinking back to my own childhood. But then, these little punks start talking about selling it on eBay for some easy cash. I mean, come on! People these days only care about the money they can make off of antiques, not the sentimental value or history behind them. It’s ridiculous, if you ask me.

Anyway, back to my trip. I fired up my time machine and tried to go back to 1986, but of course, nothing goes as planned. The darn machine broke down, and I ended up in 1976. It took me a while to fix it and get it back on track, but eventually, I managed to travel to the year I wanted.
Now, I didn’t have any Fiji currency on me, so I decided to whip out my guitar and start busking for some spare change. I played the old tune “Happy Together” from 1967, but let me tell you, it was rough. I sounded like a cat in heat, but somehow, it worked, and I got some coins.

While I was playing, I spotted this tiny dude who seemed pretty popular among the locals. I don’t know why, but he gave me a weird feeling. It was like when you see a cloud that looks like a mushroom and you just know it’s going to rain. I had a hunch that something bad was going to happen to him but who knows? Maybe it was just my dumb gut acting up.
Eventually, I ended up in Sigatoka, a town located on the south coast of Fiji’s main island, Viti Levu. It’s got these gnarly sand dunes, some historical sites, and pretty beaches. Not too shabby of a place, I suppose. I managed to get my hands on some Fiji collectible coins, which was my main goal, so that was a win, I guess.

When it was time to head back to the present, I had no trouble with the time machine, but I still haven’t figured out what to do with the coins I got. They might not be worth as much as I thought they would be, but hey, at least they’re still pretty cool, I guess.
