Antigua and Barbuda collectible postage stamps and covers

Antigua and Barbuda is a country in the Caribbean made up of two different islands, Barbuda to the north and Antigua to the south. The islands each gained independence from Britain in 1981, combining to form the modern country. Before this time, both islands issued their own separate postage stamps; afterwards, Barbuda continued to issue its own postage stamps until 2000; Antigua immediately began using stamps inscribed “Antigua & Barbuda”, but now they both do.
