Why you didn’t get paid over $300 for a 300-word article last month
Mar 9, 2009 More articles: MMS News (46)
We just got commissions from February finalized by eBay, and there were several unclaimed categories that got in excess of what their 30-day goals would have been if someone had claimed the page and written up a short article for us. Some far exceeded this amount; one of the higher ones received over $300 in commissions. It could have gone to you if only you'd had an article on it!
Of course we can't give out specific information about which categories earned what, but we want to stress that there are hundreds of pages on Mega Ministore right now that still need articles, and we continue to add more. All can earn good commissions with a bit of promotion (see our FAQ). Of course you could just write a few articles and sit back and wait for luck to kick in too. Not as proactive, but go with whatever suits your style.
(As a reminder, when an article earns its "30-day goal" within the first 30 days of an article being published, its writer can opt to either take the entire commissions earned in that 30 days or extend it to 150 days, taking 20% instead. 30-day goals average about $9.)
Thanks to those who have claimed pages and written some articles already -- congratulations on the commissions, and thanks for being part of the site. And for other experts or enthusiasts in any field who can write a 200-400 word article on various aspects of some topic, welcome aboard! Look around and find something you want to write for, claim it, and spend a few minutes typing up an article or a few. To see what pages need articles (each page only has one, so when a page is closed it's closed) a good place to see it at a glance is on the sitemap. If you want to write about something else, contact us and ask us to add it (see the FAQ).
Other sites may pay you $.01 a word for any old article, or may offer you a percentage of AdSense earnings on your pages. We pay a minimum of $.03 per word, we screen our articles so only the best get published and the site becomes more useful and popular, and we give you 100% of your earnings from eBay for at least 30 days. As we saw in February, this could be many, many times what other sites pay.
It isn't for everyone -- only for someone who can spend a few minutes writing and perhaps a few minutes researching a topic, submitting a short article, and blogging about it and/or spreading the word in other ways. Whether your article gets $9 or $300+, it can be easy money. To get started, sign up, claim a page, and get to writing!
