Expanding the MMS blogger/site owner community

Apr 28, 2009   More articles: MMS News (46)

We've got some plans in the next few weeks to bring more community to Mega Ministore pages by allowing bloggers and other webmasters to add links to their site(s) on relevant pages here.

The system will be totally free, like all of MMS's features, and there will be a voting/ranking system to determine which links actually make it to a section's main page, and which are kept on a master list on another (also useful) directory page.

This voting system will involve you putting a small graphic or text link on your site that people can click to vote your site up; over time the votes are tallied and the sites ranked in order of popularity. We have seen this done before and it's always a lot of fun to see which sites are moving up and down. Plus it's an excellent way to not only get lots more people coming to your site but you can use the directory to find other relevant sites and make new friends and participate in more discussions.

This feature is merely a gleam in our eye at present; the code will hopefully be completed in a few days and then we'll be trying it out on certain small sections of the site as a test. We'll let you know more here (get the RSS feed so you don't miss the news).

Also, in an effort to make writing articles for us even more fun (and lucrative!) we are planning on running a contest where the main prizes are cash and possibly prominent links for a time on the site. This will probably involve a drawing for people who have an article published between two certain dates; the more articles published the higher likelihood of being chosen. We want to make the prizes worthwhile so we're hammering out the details now and trying to give as much as we can to the winner(s). More on this too later!

In the meantime you can still claim any open page on the site and submit an article now. There are still lots of pages that make good commissions every single day that we are keeping; all you have to do to transfer those commissions to your PayPal account instead is get an article published. We like getting the money but we're more than happy to give it to you instead! See the FAQ for details about how you can keep 100% commissions of a given page for 30 days or more.
